CHRYSALIS PARK Park

Eleftherios Piskitzis

Landscape Planning and Garden Design CHRYSALIS PARK Park by Eleftherios Piskitzis The Chrysalis Park designed for a 1.5-mile-long elevated rail structure on Manhattan's West Side, which was constructed in the 1930s as part of one of New York City's largest investments in transportation infrastructure, called the West Side Improvement Project. No trains have run on it in over 20 years. A lush urban wilderness, nearly seven acres in total, has seeded itself on the line's tracks. A vision for a linear park above the N.Y with sustainability design considerations and various leisure activities.
