Interior Space and Exhibition Design GyuKaku-OnYasai Restaurant by Vincent Chi-Wai Chiang A project with two different theme and type of cuisines, maintaining its integrity under the brand, Gong (hard/masculinity) Yau (soft/ femininity) is the design concept of the project. Inspired by Yin and Yang, which describes how opposite or contrary forces are actually complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world. Gong and Yau to represent grill and boil respectively, just like a contemporary Japanese’s love story of Yamato nadeshiko and bushi that showing authentic Japan’s spirit with modern touch.
