Weaving Space multi-functional headquarters

Lam Wai Ming

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Weaving Space multi-functional headquarters by Lam Wai Ming In this project, a used factory building was transformed into a multi-functional space that includes a showroom, a catwalk and a design office. Inspired by “cloth weaving”, an aluminum-extruded profile was used as the basic component of the walls. Different densities of the extrusions define different functions of the spaces. The wall of the façade looks like a large coffer from which all unauthorized person could be barred. Inside the building, extrusions of lower density are used to make all the spaces semi-transparent, so as to encourage communication between franchisees and designers.
